They do not stay on in the heat. In the last 2 days I have gone through 5. It's not because of body lotion etc. I have tried above the my many spots and on my third today.

I have to give the patch a semi good review because it did work. The cravings went away it was awesome and easy to quit. The biggest struggle was the unreasonable anxiety that came with it!!! I'd have many sleepless nights due to the most crazy out to lunch anxiety (my house burning down family dying car accidents) it became to much. I cut my weeks shorter and quit totally in a month. Went 3 months without smoking and started again. Tried to go back on the patch again and the anxiety came back like a semi truck within 12 hours. I really wanna continue as it did work but to do another 4-6 weeks of crippling anxiety isn't worth it. So I'll keep smoking until I find something else. Horrible anxiety and sleepless nights for 6 weeks isn't worth it!!!

Easy to use. If the patch doesn't stick to your skin, use tape over it. I smoked for close to 8 yrs, half a pack a day. Got tired of smelling like an astray, started coughing, couldn't sleep well, tired of spending $ for a useless habit. All my friends quit smoking. There was no good reason to keep smoking. The day I quite, it was simple. 2 cigarettes left. I decided this is it. It's right after all the holidays *Xmas, New Year. No better time to quit. My sis-in-law just quit. I felt if she could do it, then I could do it (competition is partially my motivation, among lots of other reasons). I haven't smoke for 5 days now. The thought of smoking makes me feel sick. Literally, I'd feel nauseas. After the 3rd day, I no longer feel like wearing a patch but will follow the instruction on package. When you first put on the patch, you'll like a huge dose of nicotine pumped into your bloodstream. It makes me light headed. Anyway, it'll work because I don't have any cravings anymore. Try it. You have nothing to lose.

I have used step 1 patch to hep me stop smoking. I WARN ALL THAT IT CAN BURN YOUR ARM. I have taken the patch off and it leaves a square burn with blisters. Please be very careful with this product.

I smoked a pack a day for the last twenty years and trying multiple times and ways to quit even generic patches I finally have one month in not smoking thanks to nicoderm patch's. Very worth a few extra dollars to buy the nicoderm brand sticks well under all conditions and delivers what I need rid of the nasty habit . You really will still get cravings you just need to know that it is normal in the healing process

I just started step 1, of an extended NRT + plus program and awaiting my nicorette Inhaler. This product is effective. I've cut my smoking in half already and stopped wheezing and it's way easier to avoid the first spark even with big triggers around. I found using a tension bandage or a cut tube sock works to hold the patch on in place for the full duration

I have successfully used this product about 6 years ago and stayed non-smoker for several years. Unfortunately due to extremely stressful event I began to smoke again. This time around I decided to repeat myself and using the same product. It is only 8 days in but for some very strange reason the process is much easier and I hope I will be able to get rid of smoking. Currently as the first time as well I'm at the stage 1 using 21patches. I noticed that nowadays the recommended time using patches overall has been extended than years ago. Perhaps it gives a better success ratio. I recommend this product and I have tried several other methods -all of them unsuccessfully. There are side effects in a beginning - like very vivid dreams but the benefit as well as side effects limitations(compare with Zuban) are clearly suggesting these patches are working.
