So pretty!

This razor is so pretty! My first impression is that the rose gold is a nice contrast to the lighter pink. It feels nice in my hand and really sturdy. I also appreciate that this comes with one extra razor blade replacement. While using, the most stand out thing I notice is how well I can maneuver t...

Good in theory, Poor in execution

I LOVE Hydro Silk Razors. I have been using them forever. When I saw that it came in metal and rose gold, I thought I was a dreaming! I happily got one and on the first use, the head keeps popping off. I kept giving it chance after chance and it did not get better, popped off easily 3- 4 times p...

I got it for christmas, I loved the color and the weight but the blades just pop off. I found out why after looking at it up close. The one of the two white switches that connect the handle to the refills is thicker than the other. Meaning one is able to click nicely into the latch but then the other one doesn't fit and pops right off. Now I have 9 refills and a handle that doesn't work.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

The handle feels good--good weight, nice shave. Maybe I'm a dope, but I had loads of trouble figuring out how to attach and change blades on this device. You have to push the pink, U-shaped part near the blade to get the grips to retract and release the blade. I thought you'd do something with the small circle on the underside, below the razor, but no. I had to deduct 1-star just for that. Then, the cover for that small circle popped off anyway and now I'm worried the razor will get mildew and mold inside without the cover. I don't know when it popped off (someone else must have dropped it) and now it is lost forever. It's a shame. I really want to love it, but these little things matter.

I love the weight of the handle, but the blade pops off multiple times with every use. Disappointed as I have used this razor but with the plastic handles for years and was excited when they made the metal one.

I love the weight and grip of this razor. The razor has as issue of keeping the blades on them. They pop off so easy.

I LOVE Hydro Silk Razors. I have been using them forever. When I saw that it came in metal and rose gold, I thought I was a dreaming! I happily got one and on the first use, the head keeps popping off. I kept giving it chance after chance and it did not get better, popped off easily 3- 4 times per shower. Okay, this part is not Schick's issue but I am blind as a bat in the shower without my glasses on and I gotta fumble around for a rogue razor blade?? That's fun, no its not it's frustrating! I did not expect a shaving company to make the shaving experience worse! That doesn't sound like a super business plan. I have decided that it's the size of the release button, possibly. It's gigantic, literally that whole backside of the razor. Will I keep using Schick hydro products? yes because they are amazing. But this one is going in the trash like the garbage it is.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

This review was collected as part of a promotion, and the opinions are my own. The curved handle was interesting and ended up working well on my legs, but not so great on other parts of my body. The razor itself is thorough and gets all my hair but could stand to be a little more moisturizing-- though it is winter now so it's very dry here in general. The blades ended up lasting around a week of daily use, so pretty standard. It has some real heft to it and looks fancy. I read the comments about the razor breaking so I thought it would be slippery but it has a lot of grip. Overall, it's a nice razor.
