I paid for this product with my own money. I have chemically relaxed hair and wanted to find a product that would protect my long, relaxed ends. I was especially interested in this product because it contains chitosan, a marine ingredient that brought me consistently good results in past hair, skincare, and oral formulations. Simply put, this serum felt crunchy. I don't like to waste things, so I cocktailed it a drop of castor oil and smoothed it into my damp hair. The end result was passable, so I will continue to use it in this way until I finish the bottle. I will not repurchase.

This is one of my go-to hair serums. It's just the right amount of moisture without weighing my hair down. Plus, it's perfect for taming frizz and giving my hair that extra shine without making it look oily. I can vouch for its effectiveness and I would definitely suggest giving this product a try. Definitely helps my hair not be all frizzy after a shower. I pair it with their basic shampoo and conditioner and they all work good together. It doesn't leave my hair oily or crunchy either.

I love this product it is very reasonable priced. It's not expensive like the Lanza healing oil is. I think it does just as great as a job for half the cost. A little goes a long way. I put it in my ends of my hair everyday. I love the smell too.

My hair is so fine it gets touchy with really any kind of extra product. I've used other Kristin Ess products in the past and they have been pretty good for the price — this one just isn't right for my hair. For those with thicker hair I think it would work great!

I'm glad I tried this Kristin Ess serum. It's beneficial. I use it on wet and dry hair. It adds some shine to my hair. When using it on my wet hair, I don't quite like how it makes my hair feel. However, once I dried my hair, it feels normal. I like using it on my dry hair for my nonwash hair days of days 2 and 3. It helps smooth it out and adds some shine. It's a good consistency. It doesn't weigh my hair down or make it feel greasy. Doesn't really have a scent.

The Kristin Ess Weightless Shine Serum is a good option if you're looking for an affordable hair serum and the scent is pleasant. My hair is fine and the serum was light enough to even use between washes to treat my dry ends.
