I LOVE this dish soap!

I LOVE the smell of this! It's a light and fresh flower-like smell. Almost like baby powder. There is no other dish soap that smells like it. Please don't discontinue! I use it for EVERYTHING :)

An example of skimpflation!

We have used Ivory for years. However, after the pandemic, I noticed that it had become more watery and we would run through bottles much faster. I believe that the company has made it less concentrated but the price has remained the same or has gone up. So, essentially you are getting less bang/soa...

Watered down

Typical. P&G watered down another product. It is so thin that I was going through 2 bottles per month which is ridiculous. I am not only changing dish soap, but I am changing the company that makes it.

No suds and doesn't wash well anymore

I have been using Ivory dish soap for over 25 years. I have some old Ivory dish soap from 10 years ago that I forgot about. I have noticed that the current Ivory dish soap I used now in 2025 does not last for even one pan. I have to constantly apply more Ivory dish soap to the sponge to wash my dishes. When I use the Ivory dish soap that I had from 10 years ago it washed over six pans/skillets and the sponge was still soapy even after only one application of soap! Why are you making a cheap product is what I'm wondering. I prefer the old Ivory and like one customer said, I would prefer to pay more for a good product than pay for something cheap and not worth it. If you don't switch back I will be finding a new dish soap to use.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Pleasant scent

We've been using this for about a year now, and really like it. The scent is mild, and reminds me of a light linen/powder fragrance. We use it for dishes, and also hand soap in the kitchen and bathrooms. Probably the one improvement would be to make it a bit more concentrated. Would love a powdered laundry detergent in this scent:)

Not the quality cleaner that it used to be

I have been using Ivory dish soap for probably about 50 years. It used to be that one sponge full would be enough to clean all the plates, glasses, serving plates, and silverware for my family of four. Now I have to reapply the soap to my sponge two or three times. It seems to me that there was some change in the last few years. I thought perhaps it was just my imagination but after reading the reviews here I see other people have experienced the same thing. Respect to the Ivory company for not removing the critical reviews but sadly I think it's time for a change as this soap is not what it used to be.

Ruined formula

Used to be a great product. Then a few years ago P&G changed the formula and it became a watery non-sudsing waste of money. Even reached out to P&G, but the only response was that it 'must be a bottle that got too warm or something'. Stuck with it hoping it might get better but it's still the same watery waste. P&G finally got around to saying they DID change the formula. After 50+ loyal years I've stopped buying and will never buy again. What a shame.

I have purchased ivory dish washing detergent for many years. I previously used dawn. At a certain point dawn started causing my hands to have a red rash. I started using ivory in the white bottle with the pink flower. It had gentle on hands written in the front. It was great. Starting in February the bottle changed to clear with blue markings on the bottle. Now this formula of ivory is causing my hands to have same red rash as dawn. I'm disappointed and now will look for a new detergent. I have to return the 2 unused bottles I have left.

I want the old Ivory back.

I have used this product since I left home back in 1981, it was a no-brainer because my mom had used it since I was born and probably before. If that isn't loyalty I don't know what is. But this last bottle that I have bought, is almost gone and I just bought it a month and a half ago. Ridiculous because we have soft water and it should last me 6 months. I've read the other reviews and they are so right. It's just plain runny water. I want the old Ivory back. I probably won't switch because I am a loyal customer and I hate Dawn! The stink just makes me sick. But I want the old Ivory back.

The quality of this product has diminished significantly. Product used to be more concentrated and contained less water. It is now so watery that it requires use of more liquid for washing dishes. As a result, bottle runs out sooner and more frequent purchases of product are required.

I purchased a bottle of Ivory dish detergent recently. I used Ivory brand in the past & always liked the way it cleaned my dishes, pots & pans. I was happy to find it a few days ago. The performance is still great, leaves everything shiny & rinses very well. One of v tge other plus reasons to use, very gentle on your hands. I hope to find it in bulk packaging, but until then, I'll be purchasing, again, going forward.
