To start, I don't personally wear makeup much. I have a layered skin care routine that doesn't take much time but usually stretches me thin on wanting to primp further. It's very rare that I even put on makeup anymore, but I still enjoy watching makeup videos because it's nothing short of impressive... what some people are doing with it these days. So for this one, I washed, toned and moisturized as usual then put it on. It's a humid rainy day and my AC broke so I wasn't sure this was a great idea. It feels really nice and smooth going on, not cakey like some liquid foundations (keeping in mind, I used to do medium coverage so buildable coverage is a new concept for me). Right away, I noticed that some of the splotchiness, redness and the stark white of scars was really mellowed by the first go. I really appreciated that it blended the redness of blemishes but didn't try to hide my freckles or moles. Anything that can cover those on the first pass tends to make your skin look overly textured and chalky. I thought the color might be a little dark for me at first but was surprised to see it blend down with the main tones perfectly once properly rubbed in. The smell is really clean and subtle so no issues there. It hits my preferences for feel and smell for sure. On a second application, I dabbed some under the eye, on my cheeks, under the bottom lip and chin and over some of the scarring and blended it out from there. Again, I saw more overall skin harmony rather than covering any of my unique marks and features. The shadows on my face weren't as harsh and I actually liked it here. The rain stopped though so I had to run some garbage out. I know; not an ideal step in the routine, but this gave me some time to 'sweat set' and really test its staying power. After putting out garbage, one of the stray cats around here wanted to go for a walk in the gentle rain and I obliged. So after all that, I came in and cooled down. Didn't find any color drips on my dark blue shirt, no runs in the makeup and when I cooled down, very surprised that my skin felt velvety smooth like I hadn't been out feeling gross at all. There was some splotchiness partially visible but not nearly as bad as it would be normally. If I had put on 3-4 applications, it might not have been noticeable much if at all. Honestly, I love it. The results aren't PERFECT, but I think that's what I love about it. It looks natural and healthy and I don't feel self-conscious wondering if it's staying nice or if it's too much. I could see the build and stop when I liked. It's a really great foundation for when that's all you want to wear, just a boost of confidence on a regular day. It would pair super well with other 'natural boosters' like a slightly darker (or just volumizing if you've got dark hair already) mascara, a little blush or bronzer or shadow. I wouldn't use a highlighter personally because it plays with natural light well and doesn't need help. Areas where the skin can be more fragile and looser, I'm noticing it makes them subtly firmer, which definitely feels like it's properly set. I could fall asleep with this on though; it's not making me feel like I'm wearing a suffocating uncomfortable layer of paint. I used to use Covergirl products when I was younger but, honestly, as they were, they didn't hold up well when I stopped. This really made me see they've improved drastically over time. That's really the sign of a makeup brand that is listening and never resting on its laurels. I would love to use this more often and keep it around. It's low maintenance and the difference is enough that I appreciate it but I love that people can still recognize me. I really recommend this one to try out. I feel like it has more potential bonuses than a makeup dabbler like myself is aware of just yet. And I'm actually curious to try a few things out and get the most out of it.
I am devastated! I have been using product for 20 years. Before the change it was fantastic! The new product is terrible. It doesn't blend like the old product and clings to pores. It also turns orange throughout the day. My BRAND NEW tube has orange streaks by the opening. I REALLY hope Cover Girl ...realized the error of their ways and brings back the old formula.
When discovering that the Company stopped producing liquid foundation in bottles I purchased two of the new tubed foundation. My first review was negative because I was disappointed with this new product, for several reasons. Now, thinking maybe I just had a bad tube I decided to use the second, well it didn't get any better. It has a terrible smell, the application is bad, getting it out of the plastic tube is difficult, the sharp corners of the tub, it splashes when squeezing. Worst of all if it splashes on your clothes or robe it permanently stains. I have always used your liquid make-up, it has now been ruined by your new formula and packaging.

CoverGirl.comI did not think I was going to like this foundation tbh. Now I can eat my words because I love this foundation. It's buildable and applies like a dream! I will definitely purchase this again!
The CoverGirl Clean Invisible Foundation generally receives mixed to positive reviews, with many users appreciating its lightweight, natural finish, but some experiencing issues depending on their skin type
I've been using cover girl clean for as long as I can remember, I hate the new formula. Why did they change it?
So very disappointed that the make up I have used since I was a teenager (35 plus years) has now been reformulated to include an ingredient I am allergic to- phenoxyethnol
Smells, and breaks out my skin. The product in the glass bottle was fine!
I really tried to like the new packaging. No joy! Opened another new tube this morning. Contents had totally separated. In plastic tube there is no way to re-blend like shaking the old glass bottles. Even if you try squeezing with the cap on to blend, the oil just seeps out around the cap. So now I've lost ounces plus the formula for the rest of tube is out of wack without the oil - besides having an early morning mess on my counter. This is after painfully trying to get the last of the foundation out of the previous tube. Who thought hard pointy corners in the palm of the hand squeezing the plastic tube was the way to go? So after using Covergirl since I was 18 - turning 75 in a few weeks - I'm seriously looking for another brand of foundation.
This was definitely not the same product as what was in the bottle, I've used Classic Beige 130 in the bottle for decades. I tried the plastic tube, it seemed like it had less product than the bottle, maybe because it's difficult to get it out of the tube once you've used a bit of it, and it becomes far messier to deal with than a bottle. It provided a different coverage, seemed thicker, and the color was a bit off from the bottle I still had. I would not purchase this again. Not sure why companies feel like they have to change things. So disappointed. And frustrating to search for another product that will work for me.
The COVERGIRL Clean Invisible Foundation has a really nice, lightweight formula that feels comfortable on the skin. It blends easily and evenly, giving a smooth, natural-looking finish without effort 🤍 The wear is solid — it stays fresh for hours without feeling heavy or breaking apart. The finish looks skin-like and clean, perfect for an everyday makeup look ✨ I did order a shade that turned out to be slightly darker for me, so I mainly use it during summer or when I have a tan 🌞 That said, the formula itself performs beautifully and looks especially flattering on tanned skin. Overall, it's a great foundation with a clean feel and natural finish — just make sure to match the shade carefully 🤍
This rating is about the way that my mature, combination skin reacted. I loved the CG Smoothers Hydrating Foundation. The ivory shade was perfect and it worked well with my combination skin. This new Clean foundation doesn't work well on my combination skin. It feels oily, fades and settles in my lines and wrinkles. The Simply Ageless feels heavy. This new Clean foundation is good, just not for me.
