Foolproof buildable natural coverage
To start, I don't personally wear makeup much. I have a layered skin care routine that doesn't take much time but usually stretches me thin on wanting to primp further. It's very rare that I even put on makeup anymore, but I still enjoy watching makeup videos because it's nothing short of impressive... what some people are doing with it these days. So for this one, I washed, toned and moisturized as usual then put it on. It's a humid rainy day and my AC broke so I wasn't sure this was a great idea. It feels really nice and smooth going on, not cakey like some liquid foundations (keeping in mind, I used to do medium coverage so buildable coverage is a new concept for me). Right away, I noticed that some of the splotchiness, redness and the stark white of scars was really mellowed by the first go. I really appreciated that it blended the redness of blemishes but didn't try to hide my freckles or moles. Anything that can cover those on the first pass tends to make your skin look overly textured and chalky. I thought the color might be a little dark for me at first but was surprised to see it blend down with the main tones perfectly once properly rubbed in. The smell is really clean and subtle so no issues there. It hits my preferences for feel and smell for sure. On a second application, I dabbed some under the eye, on my cheeks, under the bottom lip and chin and over some of the scarring and blended it out from there. Again, I saw more overall skin harmony rather than covering any of my unique marks and features. The shadows on my face weren't as harsh and I actually liked it here. The rain stopped though so I had to run some garbage out. I know; not an ideal step in the routine, but this gave me some time to 'sweat set' and really test its staying power. After putting out garbage, one of the stray cats around here wanted to go for a walk in the gentle rain and I obliged. So after all that, I came in and cooled down. Didn't find any color drips on my dark blue shirt, no runs in the makeup and when I cooled down, very surprised that my skin felt velvety smooth like I hadn't been out feeling gross at all. There was some splotchiness partially visible but not nearly as bad as it would be normally. If I had put on 3-4 applications, it might not have been noticeable much if at all. Honestly, I love it. The results aren't PERFECT, but I think that's what I love about it. It looks natural and healthy and I don't feel self-conscious wondering if it's staying nice or if it's too much. I could see the build and stop when I liked. It's a really great foundation for when that's all you want to wear, just a boost of confidence on a regular day. It would pair super well with other 'natural boosters' like a slightly darker (or just volumizing if you've got dark hair already) mascara, a little blush or bronzer or shadow. I wouldn't use a highlighter personally because it plays with natural light well and doesn't need help. Areas where the skin can be more fragile and looser, I'm noticing it makes them subtly firmer, which definitely feels like it's properly set. I could fall asleep with this on though; it's not making me feel like I'm wearing a suffocating uncomfortable layer of paint. I used to use Covergirl products when I was younger but, honestly, as they were, they didn't hold up well when I stopped. This really made me see they've improved drastically over time. That's really the sign of a makeup brand that is listening and never resting on its laurels. I would love to use this more often and keep it around. It's low maintenance and the difference is enough that I appreciate it but I love that people can still recognize me. I really recommend this one to try out. I feel like it has more potential bonuses than a makeup dabbler like myself is aware of just yet. And I'm actually curious to try a few things out and get the most out of it.

And for what?
I'm disgusted that the Cover Girl brand decided to discontinue their most well known foundation, Clean foundation, which I have been using for 35 years. The consistency of the liquid was not too "wet" and not too "dry". It (was) the perfect weight for a very broad range of skin types and age groups.... The bottle itself was much superior to any plastic crap tube. This is the line in the sand for me. I have watched the corporate greed in packaging and marketing over the years become worse and worse for the consumer. Goodbye forever.

CoverGirl.comI like that this product is a buildable shade. It is a fragrance free liquid formula. It provides a natural skin like finish. It doesn't feel like you have a sticky residue on your face while wearing it.
EPIC FAIL!!
I have been using Cover Girl Clean liquid foundation for over 60 years and loved it. It went on smooth and blended so nicely. This new formula in the plastic tube is terrible!!! It is too thick and does not blend very well at all. The number is the same, but the shade is not. I am very disappointed in this new formula and packaging. Also, there is no way to see how much product is left in the tube, like the glass bottle. It is very wasteful and it is obvious that there is more product in the tube that you can't get out. This may be great for your bottom line because customers have to purchase more and more, but your customers get less and less for their money, which generates more dissatisfied customers. Why you felt you had to "improve" your product when it was awesome the way it was is beyond me. I have used 120 Creamy Natural in the glass bottle for years. If you have any left in stock, I will take a case!! I also noticed that all of your replies to your bad reviews are all canned answers, probably AI generated. I doubt that any human is even reading any of these.
Great product
This works beautifully for me. I used to avoid CG foundation bc of the smell. No smell now. Ultra light but great coverage
love it
I am 74 years old and yes I have lines and wrinkles. This makeup is so thin that it doesn't cake and accentuate my age Although I don't expect to hide my flaws this product is excellent

CoverGirl.comThis foundation in inexpensive and easy to find at your local pharmacy. It is lightweight yet still has good coverage. It gives a natural look. It does not smell like anything. Highly recommend!

CoverGirl.comIt is a great product and affordable! It's easy to use, lightweight and blend. Even my mom tried it on her mature skin and loved it. The consistency is great and the coverage as well. It lasts all day and is also easy to apply and to remove. A great new product for your everyday routine!
Not the same as the cover girl clean liquid.
I do not like this makeup as well as the cover girl clean liquid. I have older skin, and this makes wrinkles seem to become caverns. I can no longer find the liquid in stores, and have ordered online several times, but it is now out of stock more often.
A true cover girl
I have bought your foundation for over 45 years. You keep changing the names and how the product is being sold in bottles versus the tube, I even tried expensive other makeup even Covergirls and I still always go back to the lower end tube of cover girl but I truly always come back to cover girl.
Pros
- Good Coverage
Not happy
I bought this only because you I can't buy the older one in the glass bottle at the store. This one is not at all the same and didn't look good on my skin like the one in the bottle!!! The color isn't even the same!!! Why? Why would you change such a nice product I've been buying for decades!!! I'm 😠

CoverGirl.comI never received this product but I have seen it in store and they do not go to my shade sadly. I know most drugstore brands are not as inclusive as high end so I choose not to support them. I can tell that it is a lightweight foundation just by the swatch but I'm not sure on how well it wears.
