Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser - RED FLAKY SKIN!
I purchased this product just under a month ago. I used for a few times and found it completely dried the skin on sides of my face. My whole cheek area from below eyes to bottom of chin has dry skin that has turned red. Skin flakes are coming off. I stopped using the product and hope my skin will recover quickly. I was very surprised as I use all Cerave products for my skin care. Note: All other Cerave products I use have been great!!!! Only DISAPPOINTED in this cleanser!

Bad skin reaction - Salicylic Acid
I have sensitive skin with eczema and I have used and trusted CeraVe cleansers for many years. I was excited to try this product and actually really enjoyed the texture of the cream to foam cleanser when using it. Unfortunately after using this particular product, my skin had a terrible reaction, almost like a chemical burn with patches of redness, tightness, dryness of the face and swelling around my eyes that appeared the next morning (I had used it the night before to remove makeup). The reaction was mild the first morning so I assumed it was from something else, as CeraVe products have always been great with my skin. I used it again that night, and the reaction was much worse the second morning. It took days for my skin to recover. After doing some reading, I found that this product contains Salicylic Acid, buried deep in the ingredients list but not listed anywhere else on the bottle or website. In fact, on the "products formulated with salicylic acid" page of CeraVe's website, this product is not listed there. Had I known this contained Salicylic Acid, I would not have purchased this product, so please be aware of this ingredient when purchasing. If you are not sensitive to this ingredient, the consistency and cleaning action of the product was quite nice! Unfortunately I was unable to return the product to the store.
