It's a frozen waffle. And it's good.

My local Kroger had a couple of boxes of these on Manager's Special because the boxes were damaged. I'd never seen the brand before, but I'm a sucker for a bargain, for quick and easy breakfast, and for perhaps the most versatile modern engineered food--the frozen waffle--and bought them both. What happened to the buckwheat waffles?

I have been buying these buckwheat waffles for 10 years. I consume 2 boxes a week. But . . . This last group I bought looks like a diff product: they are yellow - all 5 boxes. These waffles have been brown in color for 10 years. And they are more dense. Did the recipe change? I notice the bu...

I have a sensitivity to wheat and yeast, and was so addicted to these! Best taste/ texture frozen waffle brand. I never used syrup because it masked the great flavor.. hopefully they are back soon!

A good GF snack

These are closer to a vanilla waffle cone batter with rice/corn as the sweet and crispy main components making for a pretty nice 'snack food' once they are properly baked and soupy with butter/syrup. I wouldn't want to buy these thinking they are healthy breakfast idea by themselves.

My third failed box 😔

Thus is now my third box that has not had any wild berry isn the waffle. It's just plain!! Which is really disappointing, considering I pay a premium price for these waffles over a cheap kellogs box. If I wanted plain waffles I'd go the cheaper route.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

smell and taste great

I really love these. They crisp up really nicely in the toaster; they aren't soggy or flimsy. And while they are toasting, the smell is amazing- like you just baked a berry cake. They also taste great. They texture is crisp and chewy, and they won't make you miss a gluten-full waffle for one second.
