I previously was salon blonde for over 5 years, then after having a child I allowed my natural red/brown hair to grow out. I then used Loreal Preference (twice) to try and go blonde again without visiting the salon. That brand turned my hair yellow, even waiting the full amount of time and using a s...
It is claimed to be the same, that Clairol only changed the label and packaging... I think not!
I used to dye my hair with Born Blonde Maxi, Did a patch test on one strand of hair with the newest Born Blonde Extra Blonding. Within a minute or two, It had burned my skin on the sides of my face. My ear turned blood red, and it was a very frightening experience. Now, I am left with light brown hair with one blonde streak! Has anyone else experienced this? Can anything be added to this formula to dilute this somehow?
The bleach is not the problem. The cap has been changed- it's too small and cheaply made. It doesn't fit down on the crown of the head therefore it doesn't get close to the root. The holes rip and stretch leaving giant chunks of hair or spots on your head!
I bought this product and it didn't have the cap, instructions, hook and conditioner.

Extremely poor quality, hair color will be yellow or orange. The only one that worked for me was Clairol Nice n Easy Born Blonde - Maxi - 1 Application Hair Color. Why did you stop selling this item MAXI? You need to put more purple powder in package in order for hair color to be blonde. What can be done to bring back MAXI hair dye?
I've used this product over 45 years and now something has changed because I'm not getting the same results. I think it should have stayed the same as before! (Very Very Disappointed !!!!!!☹️
Have used this product on my ash blonde hair for over 50 years! It's great, it's forgivable of your mistakes, it's professional looking. And has saved me thousands of dollars over going to a salon.
I have used Clairol Born Blonde since I was 14 years old, I am now 30 years old and I will NOT use Clairol anymore. I already have dark blonde hair, and I used Born Blonde as I wanted the platinum color. This bleaching kit was my go to product and in the past I was always more than happy with the results, until now. I don't know if Clairol is using new ingredients, or if they are using inferior ingredients. But, I have noticed a significant change in the outcome of my hair after using this product lately. For the past three treatments, my hair has felt more brittle, I have noticed more breakage, and the color is brassy and yellow even after using a toner. In the past when I would color my hair with Clairol, I loved how this product would make it a bright blonde color without being too white or too yellow, I'm not sure why things have changed. However, since Clairol has changed their ingredients, I will no longer recommend them, nor will I use this product any longer. It is saddening that after 16 years of loyalty to this product, I am forced to look elsewhere for a better product as Born Blonde is not giving me the same results as it used to in the past. Do better Clairol, you have lost a great customer that has been loyal to you for 16 years, as your product is clearly not of good quality anymore. Please do better!

Is Clairol Born Blonde Extra Blonding the Same as Born Blonde. Did The Box Change. Has A Different Picture Says Extra Blonding. Do I Leave in My Hair Same Amount of Time as Born Blonde.
Why are the ingredients list different on the new package with the same UPC code? The sample on the boxes even show different shades of blonde. Why did the product change? Is the new box product not going to lighten my dark hair to the same light blonde as before?
