Great multipurpose product!

Overall, I was very pleased with Medela's Purelan Lanolin Cream. I brought it with me to the hospital and it was honestly the one product I used the most while there! After nursing non-stop for the first 48 hours after the birth of my daughter, this cream helped soothe my sore, cracked nipples in be...

Just okay, nothing especially great about it.

I received this lanolin cream to try through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was very excited to use it as I'm new to breastfeeding and the learning process has been quite painful for me. The fact that it contains 100% all natural ingredients was a bonus, but not something I necessarily look fo...

Purelan is the perfect cure for soreness that comes with the early days of breastfeeding. I love that this is natural and doesn't have to be washed off before baby feeds!

I received medela pure lanolin cream to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was very impressed with product. It has 100% natural ingredients, very thick (you don't need much), easy to apply, and certainly relieves sore and cracked nipples. If you use consistently it helps prevent dryness and cracking. I stopped using it for a few days when my nipples became dry and sore. I immediately started reapplying the cream and within a day or so, had relief. I continued to use the cream while breastfeeding. I would highly recommend!

This lanolin cream was somewhat easy to apply though it was very thick compared to other brands. I liked that the ingredients were all natural as we are trying to become a chemical free family though there was some concern for potency. I'm not sure if it was because this was my third baby or that this lanolin cream wasn't effective as others but the only relief I saw was for cracked nipples and not the actual pain from nursing. My nipples were smoother after a few days which was nice. I received the lanolin cream through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

This Lanolin is by far my favorite one that I've used. I am so glad I packed this in my hospital bag because I really needed it! This was my 4th baby so I've used my fair share of nipple creams and I can honestly say this was my favorite. It's pure with no extra ingredients, which something I always look for, and it went on so easily! One of my nipples started to crack before I was able to get this out of my bag and within a few hours my nipple was mostly healed up and no longer hurt. It kept my nipples from cracking any further, which I normally experience in the hospital after having a baby. I received this through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

I received this product in exchange for an honest review from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I've been using it before every pumping session for the past month. It keeps my skin moisturized and soft so I don't have to worry about getting sore or cracked nipples. It's very easy to apply and isn't overly greasy. It is a little thicker than the other lanolin I've used in the past, so it's a little harder to squeeze out of the tube. But I love that it has all natural ingredients so when I do nurse my baby, I don't have to wash it off.

To breastfeed my second child, I used the Purelan Lanolin Cream and it was very effective. I brought it to the hospital so I could start using it right away. It was easy to apply, but the tube did get a bit messy if I wasn't careful dispensing it. I had no issues with soreness or cracking from breastfeeding, so this product worked great for me. Also, if I had any extra product on my fingers I would rub it on my dry knuckles and they are looking great! I loved that it contains 100% all-natural ingredients. It also states in the directions on the tube it is safe for baby and no need to wipe off if baby needs to feed sooner than expected. I appreciated this reassurance that it would be safe for my baby! I received this product to test and give my honest opinion from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

I received the Purelan Lanolin Cream through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I loved this product. My baby was born with the umbilical cord tight around his neck and was not breathing. He had to be in the NICU and I was unable to breast feed him. This meant that I had to pump, and unlike most new moms, I had lots of milk right off the bat. My nipples got very sore very quick. I was using another lanolin cream but it just wasn't cutting it. The Purelan Lanolin Cream worked much better and seemed to ease the pain fairly quickly after applying. The texture of this cream was almost like butter, it went on smoothly and stayed on until the next time I needed to pump/ or feed. The other cream I was using didn't stay on or soothe my nipples like the Purelan cream, and was harder to apply. This cream really was a life saver. I even put dabs of it on my baby's skin where he had sore/dry skin from all the IVs and monitors he was hooked up to. It helped the redness and dry patches where regular baby lotion did not. I also loved that I could feel comfortable and confident using this product, knowing it was organic and wouldn't cause harm to me or my baby. The only thing I didn't love about the cream was the smell. It was a bit strong for my liking, but the pros definitely outweighed this small con. I will definitely continue using this cream for myself and future babies.

The Purelan Lanolin cream works well for mothers who are starting to breastfeed and encountering all the pain that comes along with a new baby learning to feed. This cream works well to provide a protective coat and moisturize the skin. Compared to other creams I have tried, it is much more sticky, which can make it difficult to apply without warming it between your fingers. I made the mistake of applying it directly from the bottle when I have very chapped skin, and it was painful to have to spread around. I do like that it is 100% natural, and it made me feel more comfortable allowing my child to breastfeed without wiping it off. My baby did get some sticky residue on her face after feeding with this lanolin applied. I did find that it helped heal and protect my skin, so overall it does what it is supposed to do, and I would recommend it. I received this lanolin from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Too Thick & Sticky

I really wanted to like this lanolin cream since the ingredients are 100% all-natural. I was disappointed in the application of the cream. Although a little went a long way, it was too thick and sticky for me to easily apply to sore nipples. When I warmed it up with my body heat the lanolin cream was easier to apply, but with a newborn I didn't always have the time for that. I also used it for chapped lips and dry knuckles and elbows. I did find it helped soothe my skin, but for me the difficult application and stickiness were dealbreakers. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me this lanolin cream.
