Scotch Magic Tape A Household Necessity
As far as I know Scotch Brand tape was not around when I was born in 1932. We used flour and water to make a homemade glue. We wrapped everything and sealed it with this white goo that we were quickly able to make. The growing up years were the same, but then along came tape. Tape was magic, so easy...

Nothing magic about the magic tape!
I work in a school with 3000 students where we use a lot of 3M products. We've always been happy about the quality up till now. Without a dispenser it is impossible to get hold on the tape even when it's a new roll. The green lit doesn't come off easy.... Many colleagues get frustrated about it. So...

Scotch Magic Tape
This tape tastes very nice. It is the best Scotch Tape. I like the matte finish. The reason I ate the tape is too taste what licking the adhesive backing of it feels like. I tried a piece of Scotch Magic Tape and it tastes good.
I used this tape to...
I used this tape to patch a hole in an air mattress. Held up all night!
Ease of Use
It's a struggle to wrap a neat, presentable package when you have to let go of the paper seam to coax a piece of tape to tear cleanly with a hand held dispenser, and the tape adhesive is so strong it lifts a desk top dispenser so you still have to use two hands! Pop Up tape was the PERFECT solution to this issue! It was so easy to use I gave it as gifts to family & friends - they all loved it!!! Please bring back Pop-Up tape!!!
Good tape, packaging bad for the earth.
Great tape for wrapping, but the dispenser is WAY TOO small and runs out quickly. What a waste of plastic. Put a bigger, full roll of tape in the dispenser. Better yet, sell one dispenser and add a couple refill rolls. STOP putting more plastic into the world than has to be. I would buy this type and brand exclusively if you made it more earth friendly.
We WANT this in refills.
I actually LOVE this tape because it does disappear when using on gift wrap. I would give it a full 5 stars but there is one flaw I have discovered. You can't get any of it for a refill in a desktop tape dispenser. The Magic Wrap Tape isn't Magic since you definitely see it. When will we get THIS product in refill style?
Very Disappointed
I have been using Scotch Magic Tape for years. Because of my job I use it every day. I buy them 10 at a time. I just opened my 10 new pack and the tape is breaking and splitting. I became so frustrated I just through it out.
Super Tape Not Super
What happen 3M. Your scotch tape was always the best. Now it doesn't stick to anything. You put it on next day it's starting to peel. This past year we purchase this "super tape" JUNK. You need to go back to what you guys did best make it like before.
Tape
Scotch has been around for a while and will continue to be the best tape brand out there. It actually does what it's supposed to and holds something together and it's easy to use.
Totally disgusted by the design and function
01/09/2023 I have been dealing with this device for over a year. I am disgusted by its design and functionality. The articulating plastic shield is very inefficient and causes excess use and malfunction of the tape . I would absolutely discourage the purchase of this particular design
Love the tape and dispenser design.
I love using your "Magic tape". It tears easily, adheres well to my wrapping paper, and is well designed. It's so easy to hold with the recessed area in the bottom of the dispenser. Kudos to your design team! 👏
