For at least the past 20 years I've bought my favorite eye shadow from CoverGirl. I love everything about it except the eye shadow applicator falls apart within a month. It's hard to find replacement tips that will fit into the compact. Time to up the glue game!
As a working woman over age 50, it's inappropriate for me to be wearing shimmery or glittery shades to work. CG, have you forgotten about us older ladies and our need for a matte finish that will not only fill in our wrinkles but make us look good?
This is such a nice eye shadow for the cost. There's a little shimmer and it blends well. I do wish it had a little more pigment, for for the cost it's acceptable.
I've used Cover Girl for the past 40 years, but unfortunately, this new "vegan" formula is absolute trash. The concealer is too watery, the eyeshadow has no pigment. I will have to find as many retired products as I can on ebay, and eventually will probably switch to Maybelline. Very disappointed.
This eyeshadow quad offers a nice range of complementary shades that are easy to combine for both simple and more defined looks. The pigmentation is buildable, making it easy to control the intensity without applying too much at once. The shades have a beautiful reflection that adds dimension to the eyes, while the colors blend smoothly during application. The formula wears well throughout the day with minimal fading, especially when used with an eyeshadow primer.
I am HEARTBROKEN that Mink has been discontinued. I used it as my go-to base shade for literally 20 years. Twenty years. It was the perfect shade, and I still cannot understand why you would discontinue a product that had such loyal customers. I already contacted customer service and received the predictable response that "these decisions are not made lightly." Honestly, that response is frustrating rather than reassuring. If the decision was made carefully, then someone apparently decided that losing longtime customers who have been buying this product for decades was an acceptable trade-off. And that is the part I think Covergirl is seriously underestimating. A product may not be purchased every few weeks—it may last several months—but that doesn't mean the customer isn't valuable. A customer who comes back year after year, for 20 years, is exactly the kind of customer a brand should want to keep. With all the complaints from longtime customers about recent product changes and discontinued favorites, I have to wonder how many loyal customers Covergirl is willing to lose before the impact shows up in sales. Mink wasn't just another eyeshadow. It was a staple that worked perfectly for me for two decades. You took away a product I loved, gave me a canned explanation, and apparently expect me to simply find something else. Well, I have—and it's not Covergirl. BRING MINK BACK.
I recently purchased lash sensational. After I use my eyes started to burn and sting . I will never use this again
My holy grail mascara… if it came in true brown. EVERYONE wants brown mascara these days, and Maybline makes the sky high in a true brown, so why not this one? I can't use the sky high, and there's nothing brown I can find with a comparable wand that's not waterproof. PLEASE make this in a true brown!
I've been buying this product for about 4 years. It is ususally THE BEST mascara on the market for me. I have thin, short eye lashes and a couple of swipes and they are plump, longer and NOTICABLE. This recent purchase has been very disappointing. Did the product change? Not only do i have to brush them multiple times, but it's impossible to wash off unlike before. It's very watery and it seems like zero product is going on, but it is. ZERO VOLUME. So disappointing!!
I definitely recommend this cover girl eye enhancer eyeshadow kit. It works super well and i love the different shades and the pigment is super good, although there is a lot of excess fallout.
I really like these shadows. The pigmentation is nice for the coat. Lingevity could be better, but that may be my fault. I need to use primer. Packaging is nice. I know most people use brushes but I'm fine with the sponge it comes with.
The new Pure Romance #235 palette has the same name and number as the original. But, they are not the same palette. Buyer beware! They are different.
