Has fragrance in it!
Careful if you have contact dermatitis or prone to eczema, it has fragrance in it! I wish they made a version without it!
Poorly controlled delivery
Marketing genius. Perfectly adequate shave gel but no matter how gentle the press, I got about double the amount of gel required. Ergo, half is wasted and the can will last half as long as it should.
Does not dispense gel
Very disappointed. The dispenser does not work. I press the top of the container and no gel is dispensed
Cannot open the can or activate dispenser.
Neither hubby nor I could figure out how to dispense the gel. No instructions on the can. Not intuitively obvious. Help!
..And Release gel "Very Gently"
The instructions call for "...and release gel". Left out in the instructions: "press the top very gently" otherwise one is likely to expel an amount of gel sufficient for a whole-body shave. Even then the package continues to deliver some more on its own while it is sitting on the shelf. I wonder why a simple flex tube couldn't be designed for a substance with the kind of fluidity this gel has.

What's happened to the gel?
At first I thought I'd bought a bad batch but no, it is nos a thin dribble liquid that runs off your face and down the sink!! It's not a gel any more!!! I'm sure you will claim it's new and improved but it's clearly not I use an old fashioned double edged razor so a good smooth gel is important but this new stuff simply ruins the shave. I've gone back to the old fashioned shaving soap and brush as the present choice is either a beard of white useless foam or a dribbling mess Please feel free to recontact if needed
Almost full can - no air - that is now useless
After 2 uses, the can was still fairly full, but it ran out of air. So now I'm left with a nearly full can that I can't use.
Problem with Nivea Men Shaving Gel
I have a can of Nivea Men Sensitive Shave Gel. The gel works fine on my face. Due to my advanced age (85), while I have no noticeable physical deficiencies I have a difficult time pressing the top of the can to release the gel.
Why does the product solidify?
I am growing increasingly disenchanted with this product that I used to love. I usually buy in packs of three but have noticed for the last two purchases that by the time I get to the last can, the shave gel has solidified and doesn't yield any product when squeezed. Just a faint hissing noise. I am now fed up and considering moving on from Nivea. Cannot continue to tolerate this iffy product.
