I wanted to like it more than I did

I received this pacifier set from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I really wanted to like it more than I actually did. I loved the shape, color, texture. I feel like the nipple portion is actually more like a nipple than some others. What I didn't realize until doing more research is that this is... a smoothie, not a pacifier. The cutout is to allow a baby to put their finger in it to hold it in place. But at 3 months old, babies don't have that coordination or understanding of what they're doing. My son will take this soothie but not for long as it pops out of his mouth really easy. I'm not sure if it's too big for him or the shape or what. Then my older son grabs it and pops it inside out. This pacifier doesn't have an easy place to grip, just a small piece that sticks out the bottom. I would prefer the loops that other ones have. A big pro is that it's easy to clean. I just wash it by hand and my finger fits in the cutout portion easily. If you're worried about harder plastic rubbing on your baby's face (especially if they have big cheeks), I think this would be a good pacifier set because it's more soft and flexible than others. Overall, I think it depends on what your baby will take. My son takes this paci, but does not keep it for long.
