Makes brushing teeth so much fun!

I had the opportunity to try Philip's Sonicare Kids Sonic Electric Toothbrush HX6351/41 with Built-in Bluetooth. As a mom of a three-year-old daughter, I am always seeking new, innovative ways to keep brushing fun and consistent in order to help her maintain good oral hygiene. Philip's did an ex...

    Not child sized

I'm not quite sure why this is marketed as a "kids'" toothbrush except that it has fun sounds and stickers. The handle size is the same or larger than my Sonicare 2 series brushes, and the standard kids' head is BIGGER than the standard adult size head that came with the Sonicare 2. The standard kid...

I'm not sure it holds enough value per buck. Even in the website if feels like Phillips gives ths an after thought. The product is solid, effective and delivers what it is intended for. Using the app and buying parts is what makes the stars go down.

It's fine. We've had ours for a few years but he never consistently used it (he would switch to different tooth brushes because we would run out of heads for this). I can't ever find replacement heads in stores and a lot of the time they're out of stock online. The app is very old and doesn't. Really get updated. It freezes a lot. The toothbrush itself is fine but I've noticed the on/off button is getting loose or something because very hard to turn on/off now. Again it's a few years old but not with consistent use. I think it's a fine purchase for the price but don't expect it to be top of the line quality. It's fine for a kid and the app teaches them more visually how to brush your teeth (along with help of parents)

I love these tooth brushes and so do my kids. I feel more at ease letting them do the main brush of their teeth with so I are and I just help with doing a once over.

    Black Mold

These kid specific toothbrush heads grow black mold. I've used multiple brands of electric toothbrushes for many many years with no issues. When we got the kids Sonicare for my son, I noticed that within a couple of weeks, the brush had black mold/mildew in between the bristles and in the holes that hold the bristles in place. I thought it was a fluke so I bought replacements and found that this happened every single time. After multiple times replacing the toothbrush heads way more frequently than should be needed, we finally got him a different toothbrush all together.

My kids love it! But... I opened up the review page specifically to ask/recommend that the software be updated so that the child's account is available across multiple devices. Sometimes they brush using my phone and sometimes using their dad's phone if I'm working late so I have a reminder to "fake brush" when I'm out (after confirmation from my husband that they did brush) so that they can build their streaks. My son really wants a long streak (my daughter doesn't care). But I'm human and sometimes forget. Looking forward to the sonicare kids app 2.0 where this is a possibility! Also, the ability to program in a reminder after brushing - "Don't forget your retainer!", or flossing, or whatever would be helpful.

My son loves this brush. It was a great motivator to get him brushing regularly. However, the motor in it has failed after only 10 months - I find this to be unacceptable.

It was so difficult to brush my son's teeth! He was crying, nervous, and even tried to fight us. But now he follows the video and loves to open small presents for the purple creature from the app.
