Pleasant scent
The cool cotton scent has definitely made my clothes and towels smell nice but I really haven't noticed any significant change as far as strong odors (hello old sports jerseys) or detergent residue is concerned. This may be more beneficial to someone who has issues with hard water.

It leaves a delicious smell
This product surprised me, when I apply it in my wash it makes the dirt come off more quickly and gives a soft but delicious aroma to my clothes, it does not stain the clothes or adhere aggressively
Its ok
Its..ehh. Its not something I'd use for every load, but it does ok on things like towels that tend to get musty easily. Ive tried it with shirts that have a musty smell and it didn't seem to help a whole lot. I wanted to love it, but I could take it or leave it.

Easy to use with relaxing light scent
I have been using the Downy Rinse and Refresh in the Cool Cotton scent and I really like the clear, lightweight bottle design. It is very compact, making storage simple, and it is easy to pour right into the fabric softener dispenser of my machine. However, I have to be honest about the packaging quality because the plastic cap is a bit loose and doesn't seal tightly. When it was delivered to me, some of the liquid had actually leaked out. The Cool Cotton scent is wonderful because it is very gentle and relaxing. It is not a strong, heavy perfume smell, so after the wash is done, you just get a very light, clean fragrance that lingers on the clothes without being overpowering. The value is also pretty great. I have used almost the whole 48 fluid ounce bottle, and it lasted me about two months with me doing laundry two to three times a week, depending on the load size. It does a great job fighting odors and leaving fabrics feeling fresh.

I absolutely love the Downy Rinse Out Odor Fabric Rinse in the Cool Cotton Scent I and have already purchased it! It has become a must have in my laundry routine, especially for towels, workout clothes, and anything that tends to hold onto stubborn odors. It makes such a noticeable difference in how fresh everything smells without simply masking the odor with strong fragrance. I also loved that there's no soaking or extra pre- treatment needed, just add it to the rinse cycle and let it do its thing. The cool cotton scent leaves everything smelling incredibly fresh and clean without being overpowering. After seeing how well it works, I knew I needed another bottle. Definitely one of those products I didn't realize I needed it until I tried it. 
Removes odor instead of covering it.
Laundry day just got a glow up, courtesy of my husband as my very willing sniff tester.. we used the Downy Rinse and refresh cool cotton and he was genuinely impressed, which doesn't happen often. Functionality wise it actually knocks out odor instead of just masking it, and the scent holds up well after the clothes dry and not just fresh out of the wash. It rinses clean without leaving any residue or stiffness on fabric a little goes a long way so the bottle lasts. Adding this to our regular rinse cycle for good.
Smells amazing
I received this product complimentary in exchange for my honest review. This stuff smells absolutely amazing and really works to reduce odors. The consistency is exactly like water so for me that made it difficult to dispense a proper amount. I would always put too much but it wasn't overpowering when I did. I just need to bottle to be redesigned to dispense better. Overall this stuff works and I will be purchasing in the future.

Fresh and Easy
Thr Downy Rinse has been a great addition to my laundry routine, especially in Summer months. It helps rinse my clothes of sweat and smells from work and life. It is so easy to use, as it goes just into the washer like a softener. My clothes have all been fresh and clean with no extra dryer sheets needed.
