Great Taste! And made sustainably!

I am very impressed with this product Becel! No messing about, just swapping out regular butter for this! Cooking or baking! The taste is INCREDIBLE and it's also vegan and dairy-free! On top of this, the palm oil used is 100% sustainable! This was a major buying factor for me! I do think that Bece...

Absolutely does NOT cook and bake like real butter

I would not consider a product that uses palm oil, a product that contributes to the destruction of rainforest and specifically orangutan habitat, truly vegan. They may not directly be using animal products, but they certainly do not do anything to help animals. Hard pass.

Got a coupon for a free one. It was in my fridge for maybe a month before I used it. One day, I had no 'squares' of margarine in the fridge, so used this. Absolutely loved the taste, the way it crisps things up in the frying pan. Love it!!

I don't think I can get on board with a plant based butter without questioning how processed it can be. A good alternative for vegans, but I would personally just purchase an organic salted butter

It contains canola oil, one of the most toxic things you can put in your body. So the product It's toxic, just like canola oil. Avoid like the plague. Butter has ONE ingredient, two if it's salted. Hard pass on anything Becel. Regular margarine is even worse. It's toxic and causes bodily inflammation, a root cause of most disease. And we wonder why cancer proliferates despite the billions we throw at it.

Palm oil harms the environment and orangutans

Unfortunate that over 50% of your plant butter is palm oils. There are other more sustainable oils you could use for your spreads without harming animals. Glad to see it's not dairy, but please go a step further or be more sustainable in your palm sourcing (if that is even possible)

Bought this to give it a try with my baking as a " very slightly cheaper" butter. First off taste is off, tastes like oil. Not sure why they call this plant based as all margarine is technically plant based from the various oils as is this with the exception of a small amount of pea protein so now they can claim it's plant based. Secondly the texture and melting into recipes causes baking to be greasy and in the case of cookies, makes them rock hard. Great for vegan diets but for the real world, butter is better and far more healthy than palm oil. I will take the whole food over this processed solidified oil any day. Won't purchase or recommend this product.

I'm not a fan of plant-based products usually. The taste isn't terrible, but I definitely prefer regular becel products. It is nice to options though as my husband is lactose intolerant!
