Feeding Instructions
Recommended Daily Feeding Amounts: Age: 3-6 weeks; Total Daily Amount: 28-33 grams (1/4 to 1/3 cups); Frequency: 3-4 times a day. Age: 7 weeks - 6 months; Total Daily Amount: 33-84 grams (1/3 to 3/4 cups); Frequency: 3-4 times a day. Age: 7 months - 1 year; Total Daily Amount: 56-84 grams (1/2 to 3/4 cups); Frequency: 2 times a day. Using a standard 8 oz measuring cup. Feeding Kittens: Kittens generally nibble solid foods at 3 - 4 weeks of age. Keep moistened Purina Kitten Chow Advanced Nutrition available to these kittens at all times. Just add one part liquid to three parts Purina Kitten Chow Advanced Nutrition, changing frequently to ensure freshness. After weaning, at 6 - 8 weeks of age, kittens will normally eat dry or moistened food at will. Start a self-feeding program, leaving food in dish at all times. Feeding amounts should be adjusted as necessary to help your kitten maintain an ideal body condition. Because kittens continue to develop throughout their first year, it's important that they get the extra nutrition of Purina Patten Chow Advanced Nutrition for a full 12 months. After one year of age, transition to the Purina Cat Chow formula that's right for your cat. Feeding for Reproduction: Purina Kitten Chow Advanced Nutrition provides the extra nutrition needed by reproducing females in stages of gestation and lactation. Food consumption may vary, during gestation, so feed the amount needed to maintain the pregnant female's good body condition. Food Intake may double or even quadruple during lactation. Feeding Tip: Changes in your cat's diet should be made gradually to allow your cat to become accustomed to a new food. Substitute small amounts of the new food for the old food, gradually increasing the amount of the new food while decreasing the old food, over a period of 7 -10 days. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets. Provide adequate fresh water in a clean bowl For your pet's health, see your veterinarian regularly.Claims

We have four cats of our own and also care for a feral colony. For our ferals, we use Purina Kitten Chow when there are kittens born or there is a cat/cats that need extra nutrition. The kittens and full-grown cats love the flavour and the pieces are small enough for a kitten's little mouth. One ex...
I adopted two kitties from the shelter this week, a one year old cat and a two month kitten. I grabbed the big bag of Purina Cat Chow Indoor Formula and a little one of kitten chow as I had always thought Purina was an "ok" brand and they were both going to be exclusively inside cats. I was wrong ab...
My kitten had been refusing kitten food, and was instead eating adult cat food, which caused her growth to stall. I was getting worried because she just wasn't developing as she should. At 11 months old, I switched her to Purina, kitten, chow, and the difference has been incredible very quickly. She loves it and finishes every meal with gusto. Since making the switch, she's been growing steadily, her fur looks amazing, and she is much more playful and energetic. It's such a relief to see her thriving again. Purina kitten chow has truly been a game changer for us.
My cat is very picky but he loves this food. He eats it well and I feel better knowing that it is helping him stay healthy in his old age. It is also a reasonable price!
Been a little leery about trying out too many foods for my little ones espcially the really healthy and more pricey ones. But when I landed on the kitten chow, both of my boys took to ìt really well. So well that they both come running as soon as I crinkle the bag to pour it into their food bowls. Thank you Purina for being the most trusted brand pet food Ever!
Perfect combination of nutrients that cats need at an early age, easy for them to eat, a fantastic size for them.
Both cats really enjoy eating it very much. They prefer it over temptations and frisky's.
My kitten loves it. She is always asking for more. Her coat is so soft and silky from it.
The stray kittens outside love this kibble . It's the perfect size for their little mouths.
They always go for this one every time I feed them. My only concern is the lack of availability online for the sizes smaller then 15lbs.
I got my two kittens back in October and I was feeding them a different brand than this originally and I noticed that with this food, they have an easier time using the bathroom. Another thing I've noticed is that they like the taste of this more, they don't pick at it like they do other dry food.
My cat loves eating Purina Kitten Chow. He has been eating it for months and hasn't grown tired of the taste.
