My 4 year old niece loved building this set which we picked up after visiting Legoland. The instructions were easy to follow and she loved all the special pieces. We think a few more pieces at the top would be helpful to keep the three main "towers & elevator" together. We're also struggling to find the location of the QR code on the instructions and packaging so we can register it and get points.

This set is exciting and really compares to the tv program in looks and feel. Just way more money then I wanted to spend.

I usually love Lego sets for my kids, but this one kept falling apart after my daughter built it. I had to mount it to a plate and add a support at the top, both should have been part of the design for this price.

You will get to rebuild this so many times you will have the directions memorized. It feels like this set is missing some critical structural pieces that would help this kit stay together. One wrong move and catestrophic failure! The whole house will split and break into pieces. The elevator is a particular weak point with no flat bar pieces across the top to keep the columns together.

With a Gabby crazy 4.5yo the full Gabby's Dollhouse Lego set was a no brainer Christmas gift for a girl who is moving on from her duplo. The skill level was slightly beyond her, so supervision was necessary. The finished product looks fantastic with all the fun Gabby's Dollhouse feels except for a few missing characters, which would be great if there were additional mini sets to fill in the gaps for the missing characters instead of doubling up on the ones that already come with the house. As per other reviews we feel the complete set needs a base plate and is isn't as strong as other sets we've seen over the years. Additionally, our little girl was frustrated having to turning the house around to play with the rooftop rooms, so we've moved these around a little. She also gets annoyed that all the Gabby characters hair won't stay on, the connection needs to be deeper. Overall we give it a 4 out of 5.

We were highly anticipating this set as my daughter loves Gabby's Dollhouse and she is a big Lego enthusiast so it was a no brainer what to get her for Christmas! Building it was as expected, to her age and skills. However put it all together was really disappointing, it was not very thought through, does not stay together…the minute you want to move it or play with it, it fells apart! It is a shame as its a 4+ you can expect that little ones would like to play with it. The slide very akward, the seesaw fells apart if you want to to put a character on it, the top always comes off because its almost like a piece missing which would hold it together. The plactic 'ears' do not stay on, but they dont really 'slot in' to start with! In overall it was the worst Lego set we ever got, and very disappointed with it. Not suitable for play, which would be a huge part after building it. After purchasing many big sets previously it feels like a 'fake' set which have not thought through. Real shame…

We purchased this set for our 4yr daughter. She has the non Lego version but gets frustrated with it as the doors don't close and the figures fall over and when she moves the house all the components fall out. I am a big Lego fan and insisted that the Lego version would fix these problems. The build was very repetitive for a 4 year old. This was ok as she got better at it but then got bored with doing the same thing. The Figures. Why are they not minifigures Gabby's hair falls off all the time and is hard for her to put back. The clutch power of the figures is also lacking and they also fall over too easily. The figures can't hold cakes or microphones etc that a normal minifigure could. Why does the lift not go to the top floor. Why have a sliding lift if it instantly falls to the bottom at all floor. I did enjoy helping her build it but think she needs to be older and have more patience with the small figures. Why not minifigures???

Build was age appropriate for a young child, and my child was able to do with little to no assistance. Lots of extra little touches that made it special. For the build as others have said it really needs a flat finishing piece across the top to better attach the elevator across the top. You can even see in the product photos that it isn't well attached which makes it challenging for play. The other downside is none of the bonus sets you can buy have any of the other main characters. My son would love a baby box, dj catnip, Carlita or cat rat. The extra sets come with the same characters except kitty fairy garden so we will likely skip. Don't need two of everyone.

So we love the dollhouse because we figured it would be better built then the plastic dollhouse you can buy with paper backgrounds. This proves to be better in that aspect including the functionable elevator. This was much better quality and ease of use. Things that were disappointing... It is much smaller then we had thought it would be. The pieces/characters are tinier then classic Lego characters. Next we felt the house should of come with characters you couldn't buy separately. You can get pandy, mer at and cakey in the separate sets... So you will end up with two of each. So for this we really thought the house should of come with any of the other characters. DJ catnip, baby box, Carlita, cat rat etc. Overall we do love it better then the big plastic house. But she can't even fit the characters from the other house into this Lego one to make up for the lack of Lego purr-ific friends available.

My daughter received this set for christmas. It is a lovely set, colourful and with help my daughter put it together. A couple of things which I find might b helpful is some bricks to secure the lift at the top, we felt it very wobbly and could fall apart easily. We are lucky enough to have some spare lego and could attach a couple of extra bricks to the top. I also feel for the money that instead of repeating characters from sets eg Pandy, cakey and mercat they could have made a few of the others dj catnip, babybox, carlita, and catrat and put these with the house. Instead we have 4 gabbys, 2 mercats, 2 pandys, 2 cakeys. I understand the repeat of gabby, but do we really need a repeat of the characters which come with their own sets.
