First photo is foundation applied with a regular beauty blender and second photo is the same amount of foundation applied with the Real Techniques MakeupSaver sponge. It definitely provides a lot more coverage per pump and I liked how the backside had the material of a regular beauty blender. The da...rker "fingerprint" part of the blender feels like a thin layer of textured plastic, but it doesn't leave a textured finish and it seems to be able to last as long as a regular beauty blender. Actually, it helped conceal some of my dryer patches, whereas the regular beauty blender brought out some of my dry skin. BRB switching out this one for my old one.
It's no better than a regular makeup sponge. First of all, makeup application has nothing to do with fingerprints, it's not fingerprints that make makeup application smooth, it's an actual finger, it's hard but bouncey, doesn't absorb makeup, you can actually feel the amount of pressure you're apply...ing. And regular makeup sponges don't absorb much product if they're damp, it's not like they just soak up all your foundation. Anyway, this makeup sponge is ridiculous.

realtechniques.com/This makeup sponge is bleh. Nothing amazing about it. The smooth side didn't really do anything special. It holds true that it doesn't absorb the makeup as much as other sponges do, but I just don't notice anything different or better than other sponges. The fingerprint side feels odd, of course, but I don't see it applied to my face any better. I wouldn't buy it.

realtechniques.com/I really like this blender. The shape is really nice for fitting the contours ofy face. I like that the color is beige which makes it look less messy with my foundation on it. It feels quality and like it will last a while. I would definitely consider purchasing when this one gets old.

realtechniques.com/I love that the sponge is latex-free. I am not too keen on the on the textured side. It does allow for less product to be used as it absorbs 90% less makeup. The textured side is easier to clean as all you have to do is give it a wipe to remove excess product after use. The other side is a regular makeup sponge, and it offers a lot of angles to help with even application.

realtechniques.com/I like it but honestly don't know how I exactly feel about the plastic layer. I know it's there to help with application but I don't see a difference. Is it worth the money to spend on…maybe but for me I probably wouldn't and just stick to the original

realtechniques.com/The makeup sponge was like a normal beauty blender type sponge. Nothing extraordinary in that regard. The smooth side didn't really do anything special. It mentions it is supposed to not absorb the makeup as much as other sponges do. It did live up to that part. If your concerned about product build up on your sponges this might be something to checkout.

realtechniques.com/I was really hoping to like this but I can't get over the weirdness of it. It feels like I'm putting my makeup on with paper. I ended up having to use the sponge part instead to get everything smooth. It's not terrible I'm just not a fan.
