Not as good as before!!!!
I have been a loyal nexxus consumer for years. I loved the maximum hold spray in the GOLD can. However, the finishing mist is not nearly as good. I want the old spray back. I don't care what color can it's in as long as you keep it exactly the same. PLEASE!!!!!

Smells like dead fish
I have been using this hairspray for years and I use a lot of hairspray. This was always my absolute favorite until you changed the smell. It now smells like something rotting, like dead fish or dog poop. I had to return the can I bought that smelled so foul. Now every time I go to the store, I smell every single can that's on the shelf hoping to find an old one, but they all just smell like death. Please Nexxus bring back the old scent. The new one is horrible and you are losing customers.
Disgusting Smell!
The most recent cans of maximum hold hair spray have smelled as though something died. They are outright toxic! I have been a faithful customer, but NO more!
Stinks
I've used this for many years and have always preferred it to some others. However, the last can I bought has an odor I can't stand. Apparently the formula has changed and I won't purchase again.
New Smell?
Has the fragrance changed recently? I just bought a can and the smell is like bad shrimp. It is so bad I don't think I can make it through the can. I might go back to the store to see if I just got a bad one. Nexxus did you change?
Stinky new version
Please, for Pete's sake, go back to the old formula! This new version is so incredibly stinky. It smells like something died.
Horrific scent
I now have five cans of hairspray that are completely unusable. After many years of exclusively using this product I am unable to continue as the scent is unbearable. As other users have stated, there is a distinct fishy odor that is certainly not what anyone wants their hair to smell like. I can't imagine how this got through product testing. Such an incredible waste of money and irreparable damage to the brand. I will look for another brand. How unfortunate.
Smells really bad!
What happened to the smell of this hairspray?? I've used it for years and my last 2 or 3 cans have smelled so horrible, almost like something dead is inside it. If others are noticing this, maybe it should be pulled off the market and reformulated. Yuck! I'll try another brand.
