This coffee is so delicious, it does not disappoint if you are looking for a very good dark roast that is not bitter. It has hints of chocolate with a smooth finish and best of all low acidity. I tried the whole beans freshly ground in a french press as a hot coffee and also freshly ground in a cold... brew french press and both ways did not disappoint. I will definitely be adding this to my shopping list.
This is my first time to try this kind of coffee and I honestly cannot tell I really like or not, as this coffee is a quite smokey flavor compare my original brand but don't get me wrong that this brand does have great quality coffee just if you are not a fan of smokey coffee you might not like it t...hat much.

kickinghorsecoffee.comI adore fresh ground coffee, and the Kicking Horse did not disappoint! The aroma that is produce both before grinding and after is simply amazing. The flavor is bold without the bittnerness of other brands. It does not leave you with a sense of needing more, but it is so good it is hard not to finish a pot by yourself.

kickinghorsecoffee.comKicking horse is for coffee lovers that like a bold taste and don't need any hazelnut creamer to sweeten it up. It's a dark roast that's rich and velvety without being bitter. A French press or pour over is the best way to brew it.

kickinghorsecoffee.comI'm pretty picky about my coffee so I expect nothing less than perfection when it comes to my morning wake-me-up. The Kicking Horse Coffee, 454 Horse Power Dark Roast coffee was just what I was looking for. A smooth, dark coffee, it has all the caffeine I need in a tasty beverage. I really liked that it was whole bean coffee so I could grind it myself resulting in a fresher brew. Having had dark roast coffee, it's hard to go back to mild or medium and the 454 Horse Power Dark Roast is dark enough that you get a strong coffee flavor, but not so much that you drinking bitter coffee. My only issue is that my expectations were set a bit too high; with a name like Kicking Horse coffee I expected a strong smooth brew that tasted divine; instead I got a good, but average dark roast coffee. Don't get me wrong; it was a rich flavor, but I expected more so I was a little disappointed. Improvement wise, I would aim for more of a robust flavor and aroma, this was the only thing that let me down a little. I would recommend this coffee to anyone who is looking for a smooth, dark roast coffee to replace their current store brand or generic coffee.

kickinghorsecoffee.comI really enjoyed the Kicking Horse dark roast coffee. I usually drink light or medium roast coffees and was surprised at how smooth this dark roast was! The coffee brews nicely in my French press, with zero bitterness. I can't drink it every day because I'm not always wanting dark coffee, but it's what I will reach for when I'm looking for a dark roast. The coffee was a little light on the caffeine and wasn't as strong as the coffee I usually buy. Overall, this is a great high quality coffee!

kickinghorsecoffee.comIt is very good. I would buy it again. It has a nice flavor and it is also energizing. I usually use creamers but have been trying to slowly lessen the amount to switch to black coffee and this coffee has been easy to do that with.
