- To Use: Cut a small slit into the thickest part of the meat with a paring knife. Insert timer completely. Inserting into a thinner part of the meat may result in undercooking. Indicator starts to pop out when the meat is almost done. When it's fully extended (.5 in), the meat is cooked. Remove timer by sliding a large carving fork under the base unit.
