I bought this water bottle to take on a long road trip. I use a Britta pitcher at home and wanted the same level of filtration for the campground and hotel water I would be drinking. So far it is working great... mostly. Right off the bat, I was really pleased with the ergonomics of the thing. It f...its nicely in my car's cupholder. When I'm driving and feel like a drink of water, I can pick up the bottle, open it, take a drink, close it again, and put it back in the cupholder, all with one hand and without taking my eyes off the road. Long drives are thirsty work, so this has turned out to be super useful. I saw some reviews complaining that the straw offers too much resistance. This hasn't been an issue for me. It's about like drinking a soft milkshake through a big straw. What has been an issue is the filling experience. To fill the bottle, you have to unscrew the top. This comes away and brings the straw with it. There is water in the straw, and this invariably drains onto my pants and shoes. I'm left holding the bottle in one hand and the top / straw in the other, and then have to manipulate the spigot or whatever I'm filling from. There is a fill line on the bottle (located on the opposite side from the Britta logo, which feels backwards), and this is important. If you fill the bottle to the brim and then replace the top, the straw displaces a bunch of water. More water on the shoes and pants. But, if you fill it this way, you're leaving capacity on the table: as soon as you pull water up into the straw, the bottle is no longer full. The pro way is to fill the bottle to the brim, then pull some water up into the straw *before* replacing the top. All of this is a major rigmarole, and not a fun one to repeat multiple times a day. There is another usability problem with this bottle. It occurs when the bottle is partly full and left in the sun or a hot car. The air trapped in the bottle expands, and when you open the lid, the water inside the straw is forced out... onto your shoes and pants. I've had this happen enough times now that I should see it coming, but it continues to surprise and annoy me. All in all, this thing is really good, and I would buy it again if I lost it or broke it. I just hope they sort out the usability problems with the next generation.
I'm on my 3rd Brita bottle, and I can't say that I will be spending the money to purchase another. I started with the 24oz plastic bottle but it didn't keep the water cold so I bought the 24oz stainless steel insulated bottle and it was amazing until the handle broke off the top. Shortly after the p...lastic latch that keeps the lid closed cracked completely off. This left my bottle leaking anytime that it wasn't level. I decided to buy the 32oz stainless steel bottle. I only had it for 3 months before the handle broke off, and once again the lid is broken to where it will not close. I've had this bottle for a total of 6 months and it's essentially unusable. I love the taste of Brita filtered water and I just wish Brita would take into consideration the opinions of their customers and fix these design flaws. I take my water bottle with me every where I go, it's an extension of my body at this point. Sadly this brand is just not made to withstand the wear and tear of everyday use. Brita please fix these issues. I'm researching other companies to turn to.
These are great bottles that don't leak and the filter is easily replaceable. These are a must have for kiddos and traveling. They are easily refilled and you know your drinking clean and safe water along with minimizing our plastic footprint in the world!
Easy to use and clean. Durable and highly recommended. Carrying around is a piece of cake Kids love it. Haven't seen it leak. Haven't tried filter
I bought this bottle about 3 months ago and am still thrilled with it. I had been using 4 plastic bottles per day.
It is my first time using the charcoal filter. I can notice that my water tastes pure.
these are super convenient and i love that it has a filter so i know my water is always clean. i live in a college dorm and it is super practical for use
Love the water filtration! It so easy to carry around. I love how it's easily to clean. I keep it by my bed and my cats are always knocking things down, this is definitely leak proof.
The Britta metal water bottle works very well to keep your water cold. The bottle is also leak-proof and fairly easy to clean from my experience.
I love taking this bottle to work it's so easy to be able to fill up the bottle at work from the tap and not worry about if the water is clean! It's easy to carry and does not leak!
There's a small hole in the area next to the drinking area and when I tip it over to drink water pours over my face. I've double checked the filter and it's locked in place correctly. I don't know why the hole is there but I can not stop it from pouring on my face if I attempt to drink
The filtering Brita water bottle. I got this for when I am on the go or visiting places that don't have filtered water available. Love that you could take it anywhere due to it being so easy to throw in your travel bag it also fits in my car cup holder which is a bonus. It's super easy to clean with a straw cleaner and bottle cleaner... or just running soapy water through it. It has a nice taste also... never had a bad first experience as I have heard others say.
