This is the fourth electric Oral B toothbrush I've owned. All have stopped working as soon as the warranty ended. This one didn't hold a charge very well (even when brand new).

This tooth brush is very smooth and slippery and slides around in your hand. You cannot hold it or prevent it from slipping because the handle tapers down to the brush end instead of tapering down to the charger end. All my other electric tooth brushes taper down to the charger end and have ribs on the handle so you can just grip the handle normally and it won't slide. This might not mean much to you unless you have to brush around a sensitive spot like a recently pulled tooth. My brush slipped and damaged my gum where a tooth was recently pulled, now I have a new dental problem. DO NOT BUY THIS BRUSH even if it's free. You cannot return an electric tooth brush for a refund.

Saliva and toothpaste enter a hole in the brush head, flows down the inside, and runs out onto the handle. It is necessary to wrap the handle with a cloth to brush. It is so gross I can't use this toothbrush.

Bought one day ago. OralB Pro 1000. Charged as directed 22 hours. Unit only buzzes, no vibration of brush head. Contacted service centre in Toronto to try to return. I've been a "Braun" person since my first electric toothbrush in 1990. Had several basic models over the years. All performed very well. Not only does this current model not work, I had an IO model that quite working in less than 2 years. Quality just not there any more. They just lost a loyal customer. I won't be buying another OralB. .

**********Oral B are Complete garbage. Sonic Care is a far superior product/toothbrush. Our family have owned/used Sonic Care toothbrushes for years, with no issues. Decided to try the oral B, just over a year of use it stopped working. Called customer service and after trying numerous things was told, it's over a year old too bad so sad. First and last Braun/oral B I will ever buy. *******Save your money and buy the Sonic care toothbrush, you won't be disappointed.*******

How to switch modes: I don't understand how to switch modes on this model nor to identify which mode am I brushing in?

Just bought the Oral-B PRO-1000 on the recommendation of my periodontist and I have to say that I just love it. After I brush, my teeth feel like I've had a cleaning at the dentist. Best feeling!

Bought this about 5 months ago and was very pleased until all of a sudden it stopped working. Now all I hear is a faint noise when I turn it on and nothing more. Extremely disappointed and will be looking to buy a different brand.

I bought the Pro 1000 back in January and I absolutely loved it. It worked perfectly until February until it finally died for the first time ( I always put it back on the charger every night). I contacted Oral B and was able to use the warranty for a replacement. I finally received it the other day and used it. Put it back on the charger. Later that evening the toothbrush died while using and could not get it to charge again. Very disappointed because it took a hassle and a month to get a replacement and now it's not even working again:(

Bought my toothbrush in June 2020 and the second one in November and already the charging circuit is failing, so the capacity is never lasting more than a day. This is a replacement for a much cheaper Braun electric toothbrush that last more than 8 years.
