Not Your Average Liquid Gold Collector

After 2 babies and 3 different brands/types of hands free breast milk collectors, the Medela design is by far the best. When we received it my husband made the mistake of stating "it looks just like the others". It is far from it! The reservoir for the milk is slimmer, which makes it easier to cl...

Collecting milk without pumping?? Awesome!

My first impression was: "This looks so simple. Must be too good to be true." BUT, in my first use, I got 3 ounces out with zero effort!! I could have gotten more, but the container was full. I gave it four stars rather than five because I wish it could hold a little more, and there weren't clear instructions about how to properly attach it with suction. Now, maybe I'm overthinking it, because it really is so simple and easy to use, but I felt that I squeezed it too hard and got too much suction initially, then tried to go lighter and it popped off. Thankfully, the simple neck strap kept anything from falling and spilling and I had no issue reattaching with one hand. All in all, a very very comfortable, convenient way to save milk from a letdown. I personally hate pumping because I find it uncomfortable and especially because I'm already locked down on the couch nursing for hours a day, so this milk collector is a huge WIN for me. Oh, also, super easy to clean. The only "difficult" factor is keeping baby's feet away from kicking it LOL I gratefully received the Medela Silicone Breastmilk Collector to test for the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

I use the Medela silicone breast collector in the early morning when my breasts are engorged and baby is hungry! It is great for catching the leaks from the other breast. Very easy to clean. I am someone with lower supply, but can gather 1/4-1/2 an extra ounce by using the collector!

From During this breastfeeding journey I have come to purchase many different things from many different brands and I can honestly say that this collector is one of the best things I have received. I took two weeks to fully test it and while it took me sometime to get used to placing it and making sure my baby wouldn't kick it at the end of the day it has saved so much of my milk. I do think the suction is a bit less than a Hakka. I also think the stopper could be better. My daughter also constantly kicked it when feeding so it would fall off but I think that's mostly on my daughter since she is a kicker. Over all great product.

I have mixed feelings about this breastmilk collector. I like that it's silicone, easy to use/hands-free, has a wide suction base for stability, and includes a neck strap and lid for security. On my current third round of breastfeeding and pumping, I personally don't find this worth the cleaning of an extra bottle especially because it's difficult to clean if you don't get to it right away and it has a small opening. I want to note that it would have been more useful with my first child because I was leaking A LOT more. The neck strap provides extra safety, though it didn't fall off for me since I didn't fill it up much. The stopper is a nice included accessory that I appreciated and found helpful with my two and three year olds who want to touch everything. Previously I was given a simple silicone collector that only included the lid for storage, but I found myself liking this one better because of all the accessories included (especially the wider base and stopper). Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for giving me the opportunity to test this product.

I received this product from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This is a great quality hands free breast milk collector. The silicone is thicker than other collectors I've used and stayed in place better. I wasn't worried it was going to fall off. I didn't even feel like I needed the neck strap but the peace of mind in using it is great, my other ones don't have this feature! However the thickness of the silicone also makes it pretty stiff which can be uncomfortable and a little piercing on sensitive breasts. I loved the lid an stopper accessories. They're so helpful! And the collector has a suction cup bottom. Really great feature. Since I'm 8 months into my breast feeding journey and am exclusively breastfeeding I use this collector when I hand express for making milky popsicles. It's great for this since I don't love using an electric pump for collecting a couple ounces. I would recommend this to a new mom. It's so much earlier to hand express a little with a collector like this when you're full and baby is sleeping rather than use a pump.

The Medela silicone breast milk a collector is fantastic. I have used several other brands and I really liked this one. One of my favorite aspects of this breast milk collector is the neck holder. I am always afraid that they are going to get kicked off while I am using them. This worked great because it provided the money me peace of mind that my precious liquid gold would not be wasted and I would not be cleaning up an extra mess! I also felt it was very comfortable to wear. Thank you to the Stellar product testing panel for providing me the opportunity to test this product in exchange for an honest review.

This little milk saver was great! This is my second time nursing and first time trying this style of milk collector. In the past I have tried the milk collection shields which I always ended up forgetting I was wearing, bending over and spilling all the milk. I am happy to announce no spilled milk with this collector! It suctions on nicely and stayed put even during a kicking fest from my baby. The milk stopper and lid were also high quality and protected milk from spills. I definitely knocked the bottle over a few times in my haste and not a drop of milk was lost. The collector was easy to clean and I loved that the stopper was yellow and easy to spot amongst all my bottle supples. This collector also felt very comfortable to wear. No hard or thick plastic! My only con would be the measurments were a little difficult to read. Overall I really liked this collector and was able to save more milk than normal. Thanks to Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this breastfeeding accessory.

Highly recommend. The suction on the bottom and anti spill design is so important as every drop counts (and im always knocking things over when trying to nurse). All my friends and my lactation consultant recommended getting a silicon breast milk collector to save milk and reduce the need to pump. I'm 7 weeks postpartum and don't yet have a let down strong enough that I loose a lot of milk while nursing on the other breast. I am pumping frequently after feeds and am hoping I get there as it will be so great to nurse and get an extra ounce or two simultaneously to put towards a bottle when Im out and about. I have tried using it and it stays securely on. I don't think my baby would be able to kick it off once it's suctioned on even if it was filled with milk. Note: I received this free through the Stellar Product testing Panel.

Favorite Silicone Breastmilk Collector EVER

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel I was able to try out the Medela Silicone Breastmilk Collector in return for an honest review. I was so thrilled to give this one a try because I've tried 4 other brands of the silicone Breastmilk collectors and none of them have impressed me. Sure they've all "worked", but not in a way that I'd hope for. To start - I love that this one has a suction cup bottom. Hands down my favorite feature if all time.it has another feature that I've never see in any other collector before and it's a lanyard type neck strap so when you're nursing on one side and collecting milk on the other and your baby kicks it off of you the milk doesn't go shooting all over the place. It just falls straight down and hangs without losing any of the precious liquid gold. The other accessories it comes with are the plug and cap. Both work well and I've also used them at the same time mainly to see if they fit together and they in fact do! So double milk protection. Love it! Some other things I love about the silicone collectors are that they're hands free. You just suction it on before a nursing session and at any point you can just pop it off and set it down. It's not like a pump with all of the wires and mess. Super simple, super easy to use, and you don't lose any precious milk. I fill this collector up every time I nurse. I suction it to the opposite side and with every letdown (when I would usually fill up multiple nursing pads and burp cloths with milk that streams out) it just goes straight into the collector and then I have a whole bottle to fill for my baby for the next feeding. Win/win!

I hand pumped just about as much from one side as I had let down on the other into the collector!

The Lid is Money!!!

I received this through a Stellar Product Testing Panel. This was soooo amazing and easy to use I would buy for any of my girlfriends who are breastfeeding as soon as it comes out. The lid is by far the best feature, no more crying over spilt milk! The neck strap is great for the days when baby is cluster feeding and you feel like all you do is nurse. No more running around trying to find something to capture the let down, it's right around my neck! As far as the hands free nature, as long as you get a good suction from the start you are usually good to go. Although I have quite the kicker of a baby and he has been able to kick it off from time to time. Overall, compared to its competitors, this is superior for the lid and neck strap alone. Otherwise if functions much similar. The lid and neck strap are, in my opinion, essential. Now that I have had them, I'll never go back.
