You messed up your original soap
You call your current Irish spring soap original. But you added flaxseed oil, it's not original anymore. I don't want oil in my soap. Why did you add flaxseed oil? We buy Irish spring for the kind of soap It is, it's not like dove. We want that krisp clean feel, keep the flax seed oil out of it. Whoever suggested adding flaxseed oil. should be fired.
I think it's great, overall.
I don't know what the older formula was like. I will review whatever I have. Personally, I have smelly armpits. Dial Soap wasn't cutting it. I thought, what am I going to do? It turns out that Irish Spring bar soap WORKS for my armpits. I was becoming hopeless about it. I took off a star because the smell it leaves on the skin is not the same smell as it is when you are lathering in the shower. However, the smell it gives off in the air is absolutely crisp and refreshing. I'm not sure why there is such hate for it. I think it's exactly what I needed. I don't care, however, for the after-smell on the skin too much - it's kind of piney, but the smell dissipates within an hour or two. Not a big deal to me. I can't decide if I want a more feminine smell but it's not a dealbreaker because the smell does not linger on the skin for very long.
new recipe causes rashes
saw someone else say this too, soap started giving me extremely painful rashes in armpits. itchy at first and have now turned into stinging painful. i only use natural deodorant so the only thing it could be is the soap
New Formula is Terrible
Used to be the best soap in the store; now it's terrible and gives me rashes. Please change the formula back!
Prefer the older version
I liked the pre 2022 version. The scent was stronger longer lasting and I don't care for the flaxseed oil .

Wow. Used to buy this for my dad over 50 years ago. Not so sure now. Well, maybe it'll work on the raccoons, maybe not đ¤ˇđźââď¸.
It is time to admit your mistake and fix this mess
Why? You changed a product that was loved and had a very loyal following of users to something that (judging by the reviews) is almost universally hated by that formerly loyal user group. On top of that you completely misrepresent the product by calling it "Original." That should earn you a lawsuit for false advertising, but maybe it should earn somebody a lot of praise if they just change it back. Keep the new "original" but call it something else. When no one buys that one you can just drop it and keep the old formula without the stupid "classic" attached. Someone in this company really wanted to try and pull one over on the original users, maybe they should find a job at Coca Cola (I seem to remember that at least they were honest about changing the formula).

Iv been a fan for years it seems like the original has changed again new packaging and weird smell with a different color green and now gives me breathing problems. Not happy this is my favorite soap and one that doesnt bug my sensitive skin. Please go back to the old scent.

Love, love showers with this! Then I found if shaved and put in a small saucer and set in a closet it keeps clothes smelling fresh and keeps mice away! They despise it!
HORRIBLE PRODUCT
Irish spring user for 20 years i will not spend another dollar for this horrible excuse of original . Doesn't smell great , doesnt cut oil and grease down like it used to just horrible . IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT .
