This product is a 1:1 extract (120 g per 120 ml) of Valerian in a 120 ml base of 20% ethanol and 80% distilled water. Indications: Clinical studies have shown that Valerian shortens the time it takes to fall asleep and improves the quality of sleep.

Valerian has been used as a medicinal herb since the time of ancient Greece and Rome. Hippocrates mentions its properties and Galen, the greatest physician of ancient Rome later prescribed it as a remedy for insomnia. In medieval Sweden, it was sometimes placed in the wedding clothes of the groom to ward off the "envy" of the elves.
