That's what I said before I even tried this new electric toothbrush two weeks ago*, and, well,,, I still stand by it 🤷‍♀️ Sort of. To Oral-B's credit, it's now more like I am just as well off and not necessarily any better. I mean, it's a trade right? I trade the convenience and efficiency of being... able to just pick up and use a manual brush anytime for the bells and whistles of an electric brush. Just some of those happen to be things like a two minute quadrant timer, which helps me brush more mindfully and adequately; a smart pressure sensor, which protects my gums by letting me know whenever I'm brushing too hard; and three brush modes, which allows me to have a more customized experience. Cleaning the diff parts of the electric toothbrush didn't add as much time to my daily oral care routine as I thought it would; even if it did I can also argue that it's only bc I'm finally brushing my teeth for the recommended duration. I also dk about the claim "100% cleaner teeth vs a regular manual toothbrush," but I def feel the same, if not deeper, clean when using the electric toothbrush (at least I hope it's deeper, I acc have no way of knowing lol). Ig the only offense, albeit minor, I've encountered so far would be the instructions that came w the toothbrush. Why is it an IKEA manual??? It would've been much more comprehensible if they had just stuck to written explanations. Nonetheless !! As far as budget electric toothbrushes go, the Oral-B iO2 Series Electric Toothbrush is about as good as it gets and is a powerful alternative or addition to a manual toothbrush. It's a nice thing to have more than it's absolutely needed for sure. I plan on using mine until I'm all out of brush heads; then it's most likely back to ol' reliable for me. *Still running on one charge as of this writing mind you. The battery life is crazyyy !!
My dentist insisted I get an Oral B IO because I have crowded teeth and I would get a better clean. I ditched my sonicare for this toothbrush and I regret it deeply. I just got through picking an inch thick layer of black mold from the toothbrush connector. It is so poorly designed to have that issu...e. I'm mortified.

OralB.comThis Electric Toothbrush is a high-tech toothbrush that provides a deep, gentle clean. It has a smart pressure sensor to guide your brushing and an easy-to-use display for real-time feedback. The brush head works well for a thorough clean, and the battery lasts a long time. Overall, it's a great option for anyone looking for a more advanced, effective brushing experience.

OralB.comWhile the toothbrush itself works great, the design leads to massive mold growth. Despite following the recommended cleaning and maintenance of both the handle and replacement heads, mold grows.

OralB.com5 stars for teeth-cleaning ability! I changed to Oral B at the recommendation of my periodontist as I have a history of gum recession. I've enjoyed the teeth-cleaning features of this brush. Unfortunately, I've had recurring issues with keeping this toothbrush clean. After just 2 months of regular use I began to detect a mildewy smell. The design, while sleek, tends to keep water inside - both the brush head and the handle head. I replace my brush head regularly but that does not solve the issue of the mold inside the handle head. I've now had the brush for 5 months and clean it every day according to Oral B instructional videos (disassemble and thoroughly rinse and dry both parts, allow to dry separately overnight); however, this still hasn't solved the problem. It's nearly impossible to dry all the crevices out completely after rinsing, and the brush head can't stand up on its own to dry overnight. I've soaked it in vinegar, denture cleaner, soap, etc., and still struggled to get rid of the smell. I don't really want to clean my teeth with something that molds easily - and I'm really bummed about it. I might switch to a different toothbrush model that doesn't have so many crevices.

OralB.comI received this toothbrush yesterday and was a little disappointed. I believe the advertising is somewhat misleading, details below, and will return it soon. My two big issues are:1 - the toothbrush heads are different that the older versions and, from what I can find out, the old brushes are not interchangeable with the new model. I did not see that documented anywhere and 2 - Also, I think, the advertising implies there is a lighted timer display on the brush someplace. If there is, I cannot find it on the brush.

OralB.comThis toothbrush is amazing! The 3 cleaning modes let me switch between gentle and deep clean, and my teeth feel so polished after every use. This toothbrush is completely rechargeable, you just have to plug it into a outlet, I would say for the price it is Definitely worth it!"

OralB.comWorks great, I can definitely feel my teeth much cleaner compared to a manual brush. Charge lasted for a good while. Long only switching the whole family to electric toothbrush.

OralB.comA few years ago My dentist recommended I should get an electric toothbrush Sonicare. I have been using it for a little over two years. My new dentist recommended to get an Oral B. So I recently purchased a io series 2. This unit is horrible, it says two minute timer. It does not shut off after two minutes not like my Sonicare. It just gives an extra vibration. vs the vibration it gives off during 30 sec quadrants. The neck of the head is way thicker than the Sonicare. And after ever use I have to pull off the head and clean it out I do not have to do that with my Sonicare. This unit was a waste of money I just hate it.

OralB.comI've never had one of these electric toothbrushes before but my grandma swears by them so when this came up I Decided to give it a try. I like it. It's simple and sleek. I like the weight of it. It did a good job cleaning my teeth. I also like it that it has multiple settings and the timer function.
