It does feel like fabric, and the cut on my finger I used it on is right next to a joint, and it is flexible. As my hands are in and out of water a lot, the waterproof aspect was really exciting for me. And I also garden a lot, and this time of the year I am still getting my hands dirty, so blocking out dirt and other things from the garden is important as well. I wasn't disappointed with the waterproof part. I actually washed my dishes for a trial run, and not only did the Band-Aid stay in place, it was a little hard to get off. But when I did take it off, my cut didn't look any worse for wear, so I am pretty sure it stayed dry.

So it's easy to bend when I put it on the joints such as fingers. It's more comfortable as well. However, it doesn't block water well as the edges around the cotton is too thin, so water goes in easily. It doesn't stay dry as I want it to be.
